Also, 1.6 or 1.7:1 rockers?

1.7s for sure. Scorpion make a 1.72:1 which will give you 0.550" lift with either of the XE270 grinds.

Cheers Dave. Should make for a stout combo, especially with a shot of gas in there aswell.

Figured I'd bump this thread. My EB is getting pulled down very soon, and I'm considering a cam swap. Would the E303 work well with ported E7's until I get my hands on a set of GT40P's, or is it not worthwhile at this stage? The ported E7's are already on the car, so it's not like I'm wasting money porting them myself. Looking at Cost vs Benefit. I've also got Pacemakers, Twin 2.25" into single 3" exhaust, Explorer manifold and a 65mm Throttle body.

Exactly what I had in my old wagon V8. Ported E7s, 65mm TB, Pacies, twin 2.5" into 3", Explorer inlet and E303. Don't know what numbers it made but it went a lot harder than stock, especially when it was a manual.

Just remember piston to valve 67RCE,
Have you got yourself a 1/4 horse? The E cam can be a bit of a bastard with idle.

The RHS heads fell through, now got a complete AU 5L going in. Now unsure what I will do.

Is it a 200 or 220 AU engine?

It's a Series 1 engine, so 185. But it was a price to good to refuse

Still a good base for some cost effective mods. 1.7 rockers, Crow spring kit, little Comp XE cam and it will be a great little combo.

Good enough to run a 13 on the bottle through an auto. If I crank it with the C4 I'll be stoked.
