I would only put AU injectors in if you are going to tune the car. No power gain, infact i lost power doing a straight swap. I now have 36lb injectors though

so I should just buy some new ones of ebay then. if I were to get some used ones from somewhere does it take much to clean them?

From memory its about $30 an injector to have them professionally cleaned, but its been a while. Theres a bloke on ebay who has genuine Au injectors refurbished on an exchange basis and will take the E series ones as the exchange. I think I got a set of au's off him for about $100 about 12 months ago, still going strong.

Is this him?

Seems like a pretty good deal if they're all refurbed well. Might look into that if you're giving him the thumbs up.

Im sorry mate, I cant 100% remember the exact guy but I will hunt through my feedback and see if I can find him. Big thing is there are blokes on ebay selling Au injectors that are not genuine Bosch and I have heard of issues with them. If this bloke swears they are genuine bosch you will know when they arrive. Pay via paypal and if they are not up to scratch your covered for a month or so.

Also, its been 12 months but I think it was SWC who directed me to the bloke on ebay back then. Maybe Paul if you know the bloke on ebay could you direct steedy for me?

Yeah only stick to genuines, bought some non genuines and after a few months one was stuck open and another was leaking and wouldn't seal properly making the car a b**ch to start!

I was always Sus on them from the start but!

I too would be interested in some injectors off this bloke if somebody can send a link...

Yeah that's why I'm a bit iffy about it. $100 for a set of refurbed genuines is a steal, even if you return your old ones.

Ive searched my feedback and cant find the transaction but the name of the bloke rings a bell, it stands out a bit. I dont know if it was for the injectors or something else as I have purchased s**t loads of stuff on ebay for a few cars over the past 12 months.
Really, at the end of the day it doesnt cost much for someone with the right gear to refurbish injectors and being on ebay he might not have to pay for a site and does them at home. He says he will send a replied paid satchel for the old injectors to be sent back once you get your cleaned ones, so if you get them and they are not genuine bosch or f**k up when you install them all you have to do is install your old ones back in and seek a refund via paypal. Not much apart from time you could lose really.

AU injectors have a 4 spray pattern where as E Series injectors are a single jet. There are no performance gains, you will find response a little better and possibly some small improvement in fuel economy due to the better spray pattern.
