Hi all I have just acquired an nc ltd.
I have big plans cos I just love the look of the old tanks!!
Firstly I want to do the motor up quite a bit, not over the top but I want around 250 rwhp.
Now I have done some research on the topic and I'm getting different views, so I want a
Mean sounding cam but without sacrificing power so not sure which one to buy... Also
When it comes to the exhaust mine has standard extractor type headers will these do the job
Or will I have to buy after market extractors??

I have been looking at intake manifolds... Pretty pricey once you start looking at throttle bodies
And egr plates etc, I heard the v8 explorer manifolds do a lot better?? Where would I source
One of them from?? Or could I get away with leaving it standard??

I have also been looking into heads... Also very pricey what I was thinking is port and polish the
Existing heads?? Will they flow enough?? I also heard the gt40p heads are the go but no idea where to
Get them either. Will I need roller rockers??

Basically I want a descent sounding v8 that packs a little punch but I don't want to spend 6g purely on the motor...

Any help is muchly appreciated!!!

Welcome to playing with the awesome 5.0.
The factory headers are s**t. Pure and simple.
Extractors are a good improvement followed by a 3" exhaust.
No point in porting the existing heads. Too much money for too little benefit. GT40P heads , whilst not the be all and end all is a very good , cost effective improvement.
Same with the explorer manifold. Well worth doing.
The heads and manifold will stop you running out of breath at about 4500RPM as the HO motor does.
Roller rockers. Whilst not required , once again a cheap upgrade if you go to the 1.7 items. They will give you a little more cam lift , so it will be like fitting a slightly bigger cam without actually doing it.
As far as where to get them.
GT40P heads and Explorer manifold. PM WARMACHINE on here. He has both the heads and explorer manifold available.
I have a set of 1.7 Yella Terra Roller rockers available as well.
Between the 2 of us we could put a package deal together that we could arrange to be delivered to your door.

250 RWHP will be a stretch without starting to fork out dollars , but with the gear Im talking about 220-230 RWHP is achieveable from my experience.
