Hey, I'm trying to reinstall the harmonic balancer onto my 5 litre, but it seems as though it wont go back quite far enough, I've put plenty of oil on it and stuff but it still wont go back. Any thoughts would be welcomed.

Have you lined the keyway up and is the key not kicked up?
They have a slight taper on them. They do need to be pulled up the last bit with the mounting bolt.
They wont just slide all the way home.

yeah it's all lined up to the keyway, I can only get it on until it meets up to the keyway by hand, then I need the bolt to get it on any further.

That's pretty normal.

Seems that there wasn't a problem in the first place.....it was going back as far as it was supposed to, but it just looked to me like it needed to go further back again....I feel like such an idiot. lol
