Quick question, just wondering how similar the early carb 302 Windsor heads are compared to the efi heads on an ef. Just need a quick/cheap fix heads for an efxr8 so not going to bother with gt40 or aftermarket heads, just want it running but want to know when looking for the heads do I need to be careful they are off an efi instead of carb motor.
Cheers.

Generally speaking they'll bolt on but early heads had rail rockers not stamped rockers so there's your first problem. Not till 78 did they switch to rail rockers but the chambers were up around 69cc which will drop your compression. Not to mention the springs likely won't work with the 5.0 roller cam.
E7 heads are pretty common anyway so I'd just look for some of them....no headaches.

I'll have a set of E7's for sale cheap soon. Can ship to Tasmania too!
