Troy

That's what I thought and did.
My main drama I have with it is it has e7 heads which it shouldn't being from a 2001 xr8 ute, correct?

I was told it was a 220kw motor upon putting a deposit down but happy with 200kw as a platform.

yea if its from a 2001 au ute it should be a 200kw motor but they have gt40ps not e7s, so if its been rebuilt its been built to old 165kw specs if its got e7s.. :?

just to add, afaik the bottom ends as in crank, rods and pistons are pretty much the same from the 175 au to 220kw, the only main differences are cam heads, rockers and manifold..

I bought gt40p heads from Matt Jew, and was just going to do a head/I take swap.
But due to bolts snapping in the block I thought I'd get a bit more go with a recoded au motor. And resell the heads or keep them as spares.

Oh well I guess someone will be getting a call tomorrow to fix this problem

I know that, but I paid for something and didnt get what I paid for.
Unless they can give me a few hundred refund for doing the head swap.
Otherwise ill get a 347 short for 3500
