Hi there. Can anyone tell me if I have to remove the tail shaft and axle to drop out the fuel tank on my dual fuel AU Marlin Ute? I have read other posts saying that you have to remove this on normal fuel systems but is it the same for dual fuel systems as there is a tank on either side of the tail shaft? Also, if anyone has done this before, can you please explain to me how to go about it as I can't find anything on the net about removing fuel tank on dual fuel AU utes? I am removing the fuel pump as it buggered. Is there an easier way of replacing the fuel pump without having to drop the fuel tank or not? Thanks in advance. Mick. :D

Pull the tub liner out. I think you can get to it that way. Otherwise it's a tray off job. Been a fee years since I had the liner out of one.

early AU's had a solid floor under the tray liner so may not be an option. Tailshaft needs to be removed, diff unbolted and pushed rearwards on the leaf spring so the tank fits out.
If its a cab/chassis with a alloy tray may be easier to take the tray off if you just need to change the pump
