g'day folks,
im putting a v8 out of a NC fairlane into my mk2 escort and am in need of a fuel pump. does anyone know the fuel pressure needed?? Cheers |

The fuel pressure is done through the regulator on the injector rail.
Pretty much any EFI pump will do the job for you.

Use a Wlabro GSS341 or a GSS342 or similar and you will have no issues.

If the engine is standard or near to, I'd use a stock pump and make it fit inside your fuel cell. Otherwise get a pump that'll supply a max of about 120L/Hr @ 40 psi and you'll be all good.
If you use a pump that's too big you'll just recirculate too much fuel back to the tank which heats up the fuel making heaps of fuel vapor. |
