Hi all,
just read on a US website where a guy is building up an Aussie crossflow - he says that pre crossflow and crossflow flywheels interchange is this true??

Also, what about bell housings? do they also interchange??

Cheers for any help you can offer!

I think they are the same.....remember converting a TC Cortina 250 from auto to manual, and we used an Xflow flywheel and clutch......this was about 25 years ago, though.

However, I know the yanks had narrow and wide blocks in the Pre xflows....they had different flywheels.

Cheers, thanks for that...opens up a whole raft of possibilities...thanks again! hey by any chance do you know if the gearbox to bellhousing bolt location is different between the 3 speed box and a single rail?

Fairly sure they are different.....I think the hole in the bellousing for the front bearing retainer on the g'box are bigger for the 4sp...as well as a different bolt pattern.
I know Valiants are like that.
