For anyone else that stumbles on this thread in the future, please bear in mind that T.I. Performance offer both a Programmer and open definitions for EA-AU 6 Cylinder and V8 to allow DIY tuning. We have been doing this since 2007 and built this from the ground up with the support of enthusiasts across Australia and beyond.

If you are a dyno operator in NSW and are open to tuning with our gear, please get in touch.

Cheers,
Jason

Just remember that there is more than one option out there. Do your research, check out what is around, ensure it will suit your needs and get what is best for you.

Not everything is locked in one package.

The only real difference between a J3 chip and the 1/4 horse is real time tuning and possible data logging (depending on the Def) with the latter. Since the quarter horse can be used with tuner pro there is absolutely no difference in the tunability between the 2.
There seem to be a few people hanging s**t on the Ti J3 chips for some reason and many of those are just people trying too hard to find a reason to piss in your ear. Classic reason I've heard is that all of the tuner pro defs and bins for the Aussie EEC's are incomplete compared to their BE and EEC Editor equivalents.

I don't think its the specific program that "people" say are incomplete. its the strategy file, which is only as complete as the person who created it to be..

im only familiar with binery editer, which the files are known as strategy and calibration files.
not sure which is known as bin and which is def tbh..

either way ive used strategies from 2 different people and one had more functions and tables than the other. both still gave the basic tuning options to do the job but one had more available options for more things that can be disabled/changed..

Oops strategy files, my bad.
I wonder if Fat245 can pump out some of his custom strategies for tunerpro.

im in talks ATM with fat. he is seeing what he can do, but I myself have found most tables, functions and scalars, just got to work out which is which and their conversions. slow and time consuming.
