Hey guys

Have a xf ute with a 250 cross-flow and am looking to convert it into a 351 with a top loader.

Just wondering how hard it is to get the 351 into the xf with extractors and engine mounts etc etc ..... Also how will I go bolting the 4 speed up to the 351 ? Bolt straight up ?

Cheers heaps

pretty easy... buy a 302/351 bellhousing, clutch fork and flywheel. use your existing 4 speed and clutch.. I did this with my XB, had no problems at all and did mine 4 years ago. Provided you don't do massive burnouts every 5 minutes it'll survive.

oh, you'll need V8 engine mounts too - make it easy on yourself if you can and buy a whole donor car that's rusty / crashed or defected... that way you get mounts, radiator, wiring etc...
