I recently changed the body loom in my AU wagon so that I could run power windows in the rear. I already had power windows in the front and now that I have changed the body loom and all the door looms everything works fine but the power windows. Are the looms series sensitive? I took the loom out of my series 3 futura wagon and put it in my series 1 forte wagon. Help please!!

connected in parallel -have you changed drivers window switch - is rear window isolation switch on -all switches to each individual circuit need to be connected in order to operate window

post pic of ignition key to check if smartlock or smartshield

check circuit at rear window
brown from lights ??
check for power on grey/yellow wire
earth on remaining two wires into switch

other two wires red/yellow and blue yellow I think go to motor and switch power and earth depending on up or down

Front windows don't work, have changed the front power window switch and all switches are plugged in but still nothing. The car doesn't have a smartlock button on the dash near the wiper stalk. Changed the computer under the dash above left knee and the wipers went constantly and car wouldn't turn over.

on the pwr window relay can you work out which has pwr/earth applied to it so it operates/energises?

reason i ask .... if you can work out which is the earth apply an independant earth to the relay to see if it operates .... if you can & it does .. you should be able to get the windows to at least let you know eitha way - works or don't work

i think ...... lol  - looking at the pic i supplied it looks like the body comp controls the earth side of the windows relay

i fitted BA window switches to an AU1 four window setup . . . . . didn't work, presume switches differant?

remove window relay - check markings on relay-bridge terminals in socket that match with relay terminals 30 & 87 and see if windows work -

if not check for power at main switch grey/yellow wire and earth at black wire

if windows work when bridged check for power at terminals 30 & 86 in socket and earth at terminal 85...

earth to terminal 85 comes from BEM module which requires correct pin location between harness and BEM module....

was bem wiring replaced ?
is vehicle prior to 6/99 ?

Thanks for your help guys. Managed to fix the problem, it was the no 2 radio fuse and a disconnected wire. New problem has now presented itself though. Every time I open the doors the actuators cycle and when the doors are closed the car won't lock. The doors cycle and the horn goes off. Checked all the fuses. HELP PLEASE. Also when I push the economy/power button the door locks cycle and economy stays on.
