Iphones/ipads can't use the bluetooth ones.. they are wifi only due to licensing or something I believe..

I have been search for how the BA Falcon PCM if needed to be replaced with another unit how to pair it up to the car BCM.
I have an elm327 usb adapter which shows me faults and engine data which is excellent works great. The one mentioned here in forum post is the Toyota MINI VCI J2534 device for Toyota TIS Techstream. I see these on ebay are they able to be used on a ba ford to program a new pcm if needed would this work using the motorcraftservice software.

Sure is scattered, i have read this about 40 times myself and was at about the 32 time i found the info for police mode. to the point ill just let the ppl doing the reprogramming, do the HIM while there at it. Have also read Lukisons DZ and interior conversion threads countless times. Robert

I actually have that info saved somewhere.. will try to dig it up. I've done it a few times now.. most of the time it works flawlessly, once the traction control light came on (on a car without it) but was easy enough to fix.

ok folks,
Here is the single to dual zone details from Lukeysons post on the subject. Quote: You need to set the protocol to 11 bit CAN, 512k. atsp6 I think is what you want. The 'a' you mentioned above leaves the ELM in auto mode and should do the same thing, but if it doesn't find 11 bit can 512, it will start looking for the PCM on other protocols. SO in this case either would work. The HIM responds to messages with a CAN header of 733. Then you need to use a mode 3B command to program the HIM, which according to J2190 is 'write by data block'. In this case the HIM mode is block 00. And the values are: 0F - Heater only mode 55 - Manual Climate Control AA - Auto Climate Control. So setting a HIM to Manual would be: ATSP6 ATSH733 3B 00 55 To see that this value is written correct, you do a mode 21 read of block 00. Which is simply 21 00 When you issue a command to header 733, expect to get a response message with a header of 738. SO the purpose of doing the ath1 command is to turn headers on so in the response you can see the 738 bit. Finally, if the mode 21 lookup shows the value written correctly, you may need to completely power off to have the value take effect. This may even include disconnecting the battery..... I just did it again yesterday using my android phone and a 3 dollar bluetooth odb2 reader (and an app called SEN) UPDATE. the app name is SENA BTERM and it's mint for this stuff. (Android only I'm afraid)
