gday guys,

OK, been trying to chase down a leak at the back of my engine... its on the lower of the two heater pipes that go thru under the upper manifold - not 100% sure if its the pipe itself or the hose where it joins it but its definitely where its coming from....bloody near impossible to get to by the looks without removing the upper manifold though so what I'm wanting to know is, exactly how hard is it to remove the upper manifold??

I know theres 6 bolts holding it together but my concerns are all the ancillary pipes n wires on the upper manifold....so can some kind soul who's been there before walk me thru the steps?

How hard are the back two of the 6 bolts to get to?
Is it feasible to remove the bolts, lift the upper manifold , say, 6 inches or so, or sorta tilt it to the right and up if you follow me, to avoid having to unplug a shedload of wires and stuff?

If that's not possible can you give me a blow by blow of exactly what needs to be disconnected? Oh, and I'm old and used to old cars so if you can spell out the acronyms I'd really be grateful ( you know, all the TPP's, and EGR's, and MILF's and stuff?)
Cheers guys, much appreciated!!

Disconnect throttle linkage and intake piping, unplug throttle position sensors, unplug idle controller, disconnect vac lines at front, disconnect vac lines at rear of upper manifold tee. Pull the PCV hose out of the lower manifold and the brake booster hose.

Undo the bolts, lift it off. Have a beer.

Remember, the bolts are imperial (1/2"). The drivers side rear bolt is a pain, the others are easy.
