Is a 97 NL V8 Fairlane supposed to have a MAP sensor please? :|

I bought a new one but cannot find the old one!!

So I looked on this and other Ford forums and some are saying that my model Fairlane V8 does not have a MAP sensor!! :?

Please sort out my confusion. Thanks. :D

It has a MAF sensor not a MAP sensor. Fitted in the intake pipe after the airbox.

The only V8 falcon that used a MAP sensor was the EB1. But it was used as a BAP sensor to measure barometric air pressure, not manifold vacuum, so it had no vacuum hose connection to the intake manifold. From EB2 onwards, no BAP sensor for any V8 falcon. The ecu just used a default air pressure in it's calculations
