Looking to change my transmisson from auto to manual, was wondering if a xr6 5speed gearbox would work even thought my car is not a xr6 ?

Yes it will be fine to use. You may also need to get the ECU flashed with manual settings but not 100 %.

NA XR6 5 speed is the same box as the XT. XR6 Turbo 5 speed is slightly stronger.

Any of the 6cyl 5 speeds will bolt up with no issue.

You will need the PCM Flashed from auto to manual.
