Hi guys, I was hoping someone could identify something. It is a bracket off if the rear of the T5 in my AU bolted on by 3 bolts right on the extension housing, is it simply used to assist in installing or removing the gearbox? I was also told that is a vibration damper, if so what will happen if I leave it off?

Put up a pic so we can see what bracket you are talking about. Would make life much easier.

It'll be the damper that sits under where the tailshaft goes into the transmission.
