Hi all, running out of ideas, has been a long ongoing project and I'm just about over it and about to send her off to the shop.

Have another EF Fairmont V8 (factory) car that have swapped parts between to test.

EL XR8 II donor car. Engine ran fine before the swap.
Fitted GT40P heads, yella terra roller rockers, pacemakers, new plugs new leads yadda yadda.
Into EF 6CYL, brought across EL engine loom and ECU.
Dash loom + BCM different.
Got EL Fairmont dash loom and EL BCM (green).
Re-learnt all the smartlock stuff, no more ! or immobilising.
Car cranks but wont kick over, even trying start ya bastard up the intake, nada.
Engine has spark. Good spark from coil to dissy, good spark from all leads
Engine has fuel. Fuel pump primes. Fuel pump relay clicks. Injectors receive pulse signal.
Retarding or advancing the timing doesn't do diddly squat.

ECU runs other car no problems. EL XR8 BEM gives same problems once smartlock re-learnt.

Any suggestions for what next before I fork out for a tow truck to the mechanics?
Thanks guys.

Do KOEO scan

You need to swap over all 4 looms - ecu, tcm, dash, main power

Yep swapped all, except the TCM, forgot to mention it's a manual (so proper manual EL ECU and all that as well).

Uninteresting KOEO results
114
116 Both sensors are cold, engine cant run, hence the out of range.

You sure it's a manual ecu, giving a code like 783?

Cheers

well if you have spark, and your spraying fuel in the intake, you should have fire somewhere :P
if its not firing, check the distributor / static timing / compression stoke and all that..... and lead placement remembering the ford v8's go anticlockwise.
failing that, do a comp test, or does it at least sound like its got comp, incase the pushrods are too long for the rockers and hanging valves open?
