I looked into that for mine, and found the BTR was different to the C4. I had sourced a C4 flexplate, and ended up getting my BTR flexplate rebalanced to suit.

It was an ealry C4 flexplate though.

Yeah Brett, you gotta stay with a 164T flexplate...157's aren't going to work.
I actually used a 164T C4 flexplate on my AOD equipped XR many years ago.

I just used an EB 5.0 one we had laying around and had it machined to 28oz

Shannon did the same with his manual flywheel....personally I would have taken the opportunity to get a 28oz steel job.

I didn't actually do the EDIS on the cleveland or even the windsor in the end but, it's certainly not difficult. The electronic side depends on the EEC used really. Earlier EECIV you'd use the EDIS-8 module. These days I'd go straight for an AU EECV and use a 1/4 horse.

I'm hurling up whether to change over my el manual 6, to an EFI 351w manual. I grasp the T5 is reasonably week, yet to get it out on the town and running it should hold skillful. Atm, i'm simply overseeing g/box issues. ie sourcing the benefit bellhousing to mate up to the 6cyl box.

Unless you drive like a grandma you’ll be wasting your time and also your money with a 6cyl T5
