1988 NA Fairlane

Ok, so yesterday whilst driving to my parents to replace the alternator belt, the car overheated badly.

I pulled over and noticed all the water was gone ( there was a little that came out under the car ).

I filled the water again and tried to start it to see where the possible leak was but now the car won't start and is showing a Break Fail light and Battery light ( probably due to alternator belt missing ).

We replaced the Neutral switch today and it still wont start. Now we are out of ideas and my car is stuck on the side of the road in town

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you try to drive to your parents with no alternator belt?

No wonder it overheated, there was no water pump running.

Check to see if you have spark.

Is the fuel pump priming?
