what model el change to au parts?

i have a ford el xr6 that was built on the 02/98. i got told that build dates from 3/98 have au parts in them or something. basically want to know to change the fuel pump. is mine right for the early model parts or do i need to find the parts suitable for the au changes?

I believe that the fuel pumps are different, Bosch have different part numbers listed for the EF/EL and the AU. Cradles are also different.

I read somewhere on this forum that 3\98 - 5-98 they swapped to au cradles or something. Any info on that man?

Yours is a 2/98 build so the pump cradle won't fit.

To fit the AU Cradle you will need a tank from an 3/98 on build.

Why not just buy a new pump to suit your current cradle?

That's what I wanted to know just incase mine needed the au part. I'll go ahead and buy the fuel pump for ea-el
