Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has had an issue regarding oil leaks around the head on an AU 6. I've been trying to remove an oil leak for some time and have eliminated all other areas (chain tensioner, rocker cover gasket, etc.) and found the oil leak was coming from around the head gasket on both sides. I am aware that MLS gaskets are reliable and trouble free, but decided to change the head gasket. While I'm at it, I will be getting my spare head cleaned up and will be port matching the ports and installing a new timing chain, guides, tensioner and new gaskets throughout.
The head gasket I removed from my engine was a genuine Ford item, and I found the head bolts relatively easy to undo in comparison to other Falcon 6's I've had to work on as the threads were soaked in oil (strange). The engine runs well and didn't leak water.

Cheers
