the harness from drivers kick panel to relay box
the harness had a different brake failure sensor so is not plugged in yet i am now wondering if that is on the same circuit as the inhibitor switch

I think the inertia switch when open, will only open battery voltage to the main lock off solenoid. You said a code come up, did you retrieve it, and whats probably happening the bem is not putting a ground on the stater relay. On the relay did you check to see if it was the supply side or the ground side that goes the bem that was lost.

it just says code on the icc im assuming thats because of the battery change the gas isn't priming either will check the relay again tomorrow im assuming its not getting signals from the bem

Have a look and make sure the lpg fuse has not blown, and check the inertia switch, and the relay coil ground is in the pcm not the bem. I am assuming your smart lock light go's out when the key is turned on, and I think the lpg relay will only stay energized if the pcm receives a crank signal.

If it was running alright before you changed the harness, one would think the problem has something to do with it. Did you check on the starter relay if you had battery voltage with the key in the start position.

I'd be guessing the harness has something to do with it.
The start relay should have only the two interlocks - the PCM and the inhibitor switch. Try starting in Park or Neutral, just in case the inhibitor switch is a bit sticky over the non use.

hi Ron ok have checked the power to the relay pin 87 constant power pin 30 to starter pin 86 switchable power from ignition pin 85 no ground if i ground out pin 85 the starter turns over when the ignition is turned

When you turn the key on the pcm should put a ground on pin 85, providing the contacts are closed in the inhibitor switch on the trans. When you turn the key to start battery voltage should be on pin 86 and the main contacts will close in the relay switching battery voltage between pin 87 and 30 which will flow to the solenoid. With the key off there is no ground on 85, to be sure I checked my straight gas bf. If your inhibitor switch is alright and battery voltage is going to the pcm you have to find out why it wont put a ground on with the key on. Do's every thing work dash lights and cluster what about when you cranked the engine did you see the tacho move indicating there is a crank signal, also when you turn the key on the ignition relay should supply power to the lpg fuse and relay.
