For today i will just give the fuel pump its own power so i can run the car.any idea on what drained the battery over night? correct on the fuel pump, it runs for about 2-5 seconds and primes the system then shuts down until the car is started. i dont think the B series PCM needs a tach input as the coil drivers are driven internally, so the PCM would be creating its own tach input, Tach info is then sent onto the IC via CAN. i'm going to take a guess that the it gets its cranking signal from the cam angle sensors or the crank angle sensor to detect a running condition. like you mentioned try "hot wiring" the fuel pump and go from there.

im not to sure what drained my batt so fast. I used a test light and nothing was lighting up with the ignition off except for the keep alive memory. maybe it drained so fast coz it was sitting for 2months in the back seat then i used it to start the car like 10times, maybe it drained enough from that then the keep alive memory from both computers drained it.. Thats just a guess tho.. Yes im pritty sure it uses the crank sensor for the tacho and i was looking in benj thread this morning and im not sure if he added the pcm fuel wire to the ground wire of the fuel pump relay or took the eb ground wire out and replaced it with the bf wire. I was also wondering if i just put in the bf instrument cluster and hooked up the can hi/lo would it give me a tacho reading

I have sumthing drawing a pritty big current. I charged my batt yesterday and it went flat again over night so im charrging it again today and il work out how much current is being drawn with the ignition off then work out whats drawing the current, for now i hooked up the temp sensor, Just drilled and taped a hole in the top of the theromstat housing and also going to fix up the fuel relay so the pump starts up again with the engine.

last night went out with the multimeter and set it for current reading i was getting a current draw off 4.5amps
 then i here the power relay for my pcm kick in and also the throttle body motor activate then i take the multimeter off and everything shut off, i checked it again and was getting about 0.1amp which is about right. then about 5seconds later the pcm power relay kicks in again, cuts in and out and draws about 2.4amps when it cuts in, Thats just the throttle body motor drawing that current and back to 0.1amp when it cuts off. Il check the plug i made up for the pmc to get power when the reds come on because thats the only place it can draw power to activate the pmc power relay

haha ye kinda. The weather is sucking more than that tho, its spose to rain for the next 3to4 days and I only have 3more important things to do
 .. fix this current draw, fix up my fuel relay and put my front bumper back on. Il sort out my air con hoses and middle console later on because the 5th of nxt month is coming up faster than id like it to be and i still need to check my speedo, other than that my blinkers ,lights ,reverse lights and the park/neutral safty switch is all working good, power steering works fine and i used 1hose from the bf, the 1that screws into the resivour and 1hose from the eb the small metal 1. I just bent the bf metal line abit then srewed it into the eb steering rack, I also pluged in both eb and bf plugs

If eny1 knows about the fuel pump relay do i have to accualy disconnect the ground wire and replace it with the pcm fuel relay wire, will that make the relay turn back on when the engine start? This is 1thing id have to say if i could do it again i wolud have just added a fuel relay into my loom when i was making it, unless of course its only a matter of cutting the 1ground wire and replacing it with the pcms one.

well cutting the earth wire on the fuel pump relay and replacing it the the bf wire DID NOT WORK
so im going to add my own fuel pump relay onto my bf wiring loom. I also think i sorted out the 2 to4amp current draw i was getting. Im not to sure what it was but testing with the multimeter and test light seem to show every thing is ok today.

this fuel pump relay is kicking my arsss, for sum reason the test light light up on the positive side of the relay, I even get a signal from the pcm fuel wire when the engine starts but for sum reason its not drawing that current thru the relay when the engine starts. I even hooked the relay upto to the reds and the other side upto the negative side of the batt thinking it would make the pump run from the time i turn the reds on but it still only ran for the 3sec for priming the line
 . I also tryed hooking the earth back upto the relay and hooked the pcm wire upto the other side of the relay and still nothing, not that i expected that to work as the pmc wire is a earth wire

shyt man i skined the inside of my finger yesterday.. the cord on my jumper got cought in the pullys and tryed to suck me into the engine bay lol.

thsi fuel pump relay must have a differenct circuit setup in it than other relays. i can hook it straight up to the batt and the switch will close but still open 3seconds later and give no voltage at the fuel pump. I ended up with a flat batt again today so spent most of the day going over my wiring and traced it back to 1of my wires i pluged into the instant ignition fuse which did not need to be there.
