Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a second hand falcon as a first car but reading these forums I have seen many people having the "milkshake" problem. I know these problems occur in the BA and BF MK1 falcon but I was wondering if this was fixed in the BF MKII or if I was to buy a BA or early BF would a bypass kit be a good buy although I do not intend on towing or anything as such that may cause 'Milkshake" problem.

Cheers

AFAIK the problem persists right up to the current FG. If you look at the "cooler" it is a crappy little thing, that bears the label: "Made in China" which I guess says it all.

Put a cooler kit on. The benefits far outweigh the cost: longer trans life, greater trans oil capacity, insurance against Ford cooler failure.

Not hard to do, took me 4 hours.
