Has anyone seen or know how to remote mount the electronic module from distributor. I've blown 3 in 2.5 years in my EBII 4.0 EFI and have been told they get too hot and fail. Remote mounting on guard will keep it cool and make it last I'm told. I think the module in mine has gone again and if I have to replace it would like to try this.

I will bet each time you replaced the module you did not apply the silicon heat cream to the module face, that is what transfers the heat away from the module to the dizzy body.

Well funny story is 1 of those replacements came pre-installed in a new dizzy. They actually didn't put the paste properly and also didn't put the seal in properly so it got water in and corroded the pins adding to the overheat which killed the cheap sh-- module. I re-used that new dizzy body last time and had to pull seal from original dizzy when replacing last time with "quality" (lol) Bosch module and paste. I'm used to pasting CPU heatsinks onto CPU's with PC's so yes good guess normally but I know that one. Look first module was original and did over 300K so cant complain. Next module as above with complete dizzy & coil. That module was badly fitted and crapped itself after 40k. The Bosch module went in 12 months ago and now its possibly gone too. Still diagnosing but if its gone I want to ttry this remote mounting as had good advise it stops them overheating.

When I first started working on those bosh Dizzy's nearly thirty years ago, to save money instead if using genuine a bosh ignition modules tridon started making them, half the price, so we all started using them, three months later coils were over heating and splitting too much primary saturation, lesson learned only used genuine from then on.

offhand i think TROY, SWC, TimmyA & maybe BenJ have done this in some form or another. some have put it on the aircon commpressor or in TimmyA's case on inner guard.
