Gday,
i cant seem to find much out about this we are looking at converting my xh v8 ute to a manual and cant find a v8 t5 anywhere i can get my hands on a t5 for a good price out of an xr6 will this t5 work with the v8?? if not whats the differences between the xr6 t5 and a v8 t5? if so what will be required to make it all work properly? will i need a manual computer or can i use a j3 chip? T5 bellhousing flywheel clutch clutch cable pedal box will i need anything else? |

V8 has a differant input shaft [length].

ok so the only 6 cylinder thing i can use is the pedal box?

Drapes54 wrote: ok so the only 6 cylinder thing i can use is the pedal box? for a layman ... like me .... yes [bellhousing won't, input shaft won't & no idea re flywheel] think the 6/8 ratios are differant as well, someone will mention what tho & unsure re cable length. i have EA-ED, EF-EL as well as AU cables and there are differant lengths for the 6 depending on model.. |

what exactly will i need for the conversion?
i know i need the following bellhousing clutch clutch cable T5 gearbox flywheel pedal box and a j3 anything else or is that it? |

is the manual tailshaft the same length as an auto?
