K-member stays. It's easy. What engine do want to put in?

That's easy. Just get a donor car and swap it in. Or if your six cyl ute ain't the best just go and buy a V8 XH straight off the bat.

Hey Pete,

I'm also curious to know as im planning on putting the motor from my LTD into an XH 6. Whats involved and is it possible to get a V8 BTR and keep the column change?

Why what's happened to the ltd!? Find my 5.0 into XG post and I think I showed the cable I used to maintain column auto.

I've been trying to find it but can't seem to... I've become a FM noob again. Will have a better look.

Paint's buggered, and I've lost my passion for it. Need a practical car such as a ute so hopefully swapping my wheels for an XH I've found, drop the V8 into that, sell the manual conversion and spend the money on the Mercedes, have the best of both worlds = happy.

I think a 351auto is what the LTD needs to re-ignite your passion. What sort you of merc you have? I just picked up an XH van. Guess what engine that's getting?

351 auto would definitely ignite some passion haha, 18 year old me thought a 5 speed long wheel base car was a good idea. Fast forward 10 years and I wish I had just left it be. Currently have two wagons and the LTD, so need something practical to justify keeping a V8... a ute is the perfect choice!

I've got a 95 S124 E320, bullet proof M104.992 which will hopefully get boost one day. Check out Turbobandit.com or "Pumpish" on youtube, they do insane s**t. Guy ran 2.2 bar on his stock motor for 5 years. He's now 3.2bar+

A 351 XH van will be awesome man! I'll have to keep an eye on your build

I'm trying to work out doing the same to my XH van. Have a Fairlane donor car. I have been lead to believe that the RHS wiring looms change from V8 to 6 but no one is able to confirm what if anything is different. Anyone here care to confirm?
