Hi,
I have a family wagon BF mk3 wagon, best car I've ever bought, takes our family everywhere! Have a small problem ICC related. The small globes that illuminate the green surround above the cd player (between the volume and the tuner) AND the fan controls and the heater/cooler control over the past 3 to 6 months during the evening were flickering then finally turned off. All other lights, the air flow, rear deminster etc work, radio screen works all controls work. Are these replaceable?? does anyone know where I can buy them?? I can't really afford to mod it at this stage, just wish to replace like for like. Thanking you in advance!!

Short answer is NO these are non replaceable LED's soldered directly to the board unfortunately.

Is there anyone in Melbourne who is capable of repairing these LEDs??

You could always ask these people? They are the ones who repair the ICC units and are in Melbourne.

Thank you very much for your tips.
Will try one last thing, i hit the side of the kick panel in the foot well last night and the lights came to life for a while then went off again, I'm now thinking I'm chasing a loose connection. With the 4 plugs at the bottom of the ICC, does anyone know which one controls the lighting for the ICC?? |

Took out the ICC seems that all LEDs are dead and all connections were sound. Probably the circuit board at the back is 1/4 fried.

Ive seen alot of these ICC's that have been damaged due to brute force being applied to them. You will probably find that the circuit board wire the LED are mounted to has a crack in it.
I can replace the LED's but I would say that they are unlikely to be the issue. Matt

Yes, you can also swap out the led/control board from the donor ICC as all the smarts are located in the CD unit.
