well, I went ahead and put the 6 cyl box in and what I done was used the ef v8 output shaft, extension housing, fluid pump, torque converter, bell housing, and solenoids. given it a hard time and its holding up so far.

Great to see I have a xf xr6 engine and btr trans. I can pick up a ed xr8 which has lost reverse, so if I get the xr8 for a steal I just might do it.
Talk about resurrection of old posts. I suppose it matches my age. Old that is..

Again on resurrection of an old post . I used an AU I6 box in my XG Van behind an injected 5lt .
Changed the bell housing and torque converter done about 100 thousand klm and no issues detected
