hi

if youre not likely to have the ef much longer, can you just change the oil and leave the filter for now and keep running it to rinse the old oil and if you still got it in a few months then change the oil and filter or swap the engine and put new oil and filter in it

can you change just oil this time and next time or in a few months if you still got car then do oil and filter or swap engine then do filter and oil

thanks

If it were ME, I would buy a REAL cheap oil filter and when you do the change of oil, use a NEW filter then, after you have run it long enough to clean it, dump THAT oil and replace with a good filter and new oil.

If you use the OLD filter, a lot of rubbish that was in the old oil, will also be in that filter and just put the rubbish back into the new oil.

If your that busy and you cant spare an extra 5 mins to change the oil filter then dont bother. Do it when you have a spare 10 mins.
