Hi

Just a quick question does the el 6 cyl power harness which is drivers side engine bay harness plug into a 6 cyl ef dash, behind dash, and ecu (which is passenger) engine bay harness.

Or will plugging the el driver side harness in without swapping the dash harnesses and ecu harnesses cause problems.

Asking because if still have the ef in a few months will need a engine swap and plan to use the xh ute ecu and log manifold and because of that will have to swap wiring harnesses so it’ll work and will be using a el fairmont harness and slightly modifying the injector part for log manifold,

And was thinking that if the el drivers side engine bay harness will work with ef ecu and dash harnesses for now about swapping the drivers side engine bay harness (that’s where the relays and fuse link is) so the big day is easier, especially if you pay to have it done.

If anyone knows and can help with answers that’d be great

Thanks

I'm not sure why you need to change the harness at all,is it just for the log manifold and injectors?(you could just legthen throttle wiring etc),people put el ecu's in ef and earlier e-series all the time (especially with a J3 chip),and I think the harness's should be fairly interchangeable depending on model and options of course.
