I had a water leak that was repaired with a sealant additive.
I was told that my EL feb.98 head had port that was blanked off with the head gasket & it was a weakness which cause the leak.
There also seems like the gasket is oily.
The additive works so far but I am looking at getting a recon. exchange head.
Any comments or recommendations on the would be greatly appreciated.
I don't want to get rid of the car really.

If you don't plan on getting rid of the car, get a recon head installed. If you plan on doing some modifications, might as well get some work done on the head, throw in a better cam and make sure you get multi layered steel (MLS) head gasket installed rather than the composite, it will last much longer.
