im building a engine and dont know what cam to put in it

396 cleveland 8.6 to 1 premium

ill bve driving it around ( only on weekends ) for about 2 months before i put the 6/71 blower on

what do you think it will drive like with a" blower " cam in it without boost

I would recomend a hydraulic cam with at least 230deg@050" on the inlet and another 8-10 degrees on the exhaust. Grind it on a 112LSA and install it straight up.

Due to the size of the motor low speed torque will not be an issue. I would also recomend a really good port job on the exhaust side with larger valves.

Using this type of setup would waste a little fuel due to overscavanging and be a little lazy when NA due to the wide LSA.
