i have a wade stage 2 cam, anyway after putting it in my car for about 3 weeks i had alot of major dramas with the car stalling and not turning back on, running really rich etc etc, anyway so i took the cam out and put the stock cam in, and now i think im game enough to put it back in :?
this time i want to get a professional to do it. (im sure i did nothing wrong but you never know they might have that touch!). is there a place in sydney that someone has dealt with/can trust on here that they can recommend to me?? maybe someone can answer my question here why it would stall and not turn back on? (this was asked on FF) also what size shims should i add to the stock ones if i use a wade 1004 @114 cam?

cheers,

I don't see how you could have done anything wrong, well at least anything that would have caused those issues.

Mine runs rich as hell, I think that's just the way they are....

May wanna try -

Omega Automotive Fairfield...i think (A BPT authorised dealer and really helpful)

Crescent Motorsport Liverpool ( another guy here and on FF's took his car there and seemed really happy. Cheap too.)

Autotech Engineering Granville (APS dealer)

Or seeing as this guy donates to Fordmods try Mark @ ITS performance.

From this little bit here, it sounds like you didnt install shims when you put the new cam in. They do require it, and may have been your problem. From memory the way to do it is to buy a set of shims and install the with the other already there. So essentially, you get two shims where there was once one. Id probably give it a go myself. If you got the old cam back in, you should be able to do the new wade. And that way, you save yourself some cash :D

If you want to go somewhere then I would go Mark from ITS performance, cause he sponsers this site.
