thats right old faithful dont start..

i have power to everythign, fuel pump is wrokign i can hear the starter realy clickign and also the bcm clicking, all fuses are good
turning the key results in nothing but thes noises
i can bypass the starter relay and crank the engine and it has spark, and i pressuming fuel as i can hear the pump. basically the starter motor is not turnign with the turn of the key.!
also tried lockign and unlocking doors still no go same as with a jump start
HELP!!!

try turn the key and tap the starter motor with a hammer nicely, it may just be bound up and sticking.

Well if he can get the starter motor to kick over when bypassing the key, then its not a problem with the solonoid.

I'd say it'd be a faulty ignition switch/barrel, or a fault in the BEM, as the starter motor relay trigger goes via the BEM (This is how part of the smartlock immobilisation is performed)

BCM...

When my car made those noises the other day, my battery was empty (no water). It took me a new battery to find that out though... :roll:

Starts really well now surprising...

I hope everyone now knows how to check the fluid level in their batteries... I wish I had of known before I spent $110 on a new one.
