Hey,

I hope this is the right forum.. anyway..

Just a quick question regarding the globe that lights up the climate control display module. Is it just a regular 3mm bulb or is it something else ?? Mine has blown so am looking for a replacement and don't really want to dismantle the dash just to see what globe it is.

An auto-electrician friend of my dad reckons that it is a rare bulb and he would have to do it himself for $$

So what do you guys think ? :)

Cheers

same as the ones in the trip computer and clock, from Ford you'll pay about two fitty and can do it yourself in 30 seconds.

Nope. You'll probably do more damage if you try to do it with out removing the facia!
I just replaced the globe in my antenna height switch, I had to take the facia off for that. The globe in that switch and the rear demist switch cost over $11.00 each  That's after I beat it down from retail...

Its a T-10 (10mm wedge) bulb, 3w or a 5w will do the job.

5w will light it up nicely.

But yes, you do have to take the dash surround off, and the CC module out.

After a few times you'll be able to remove the dash within 5 minutes.

Yeah I just did it then.. much easier than I thought.. plus the globe was just sittin at the back of the module for an easy replacment, so gotta be happy with that. :D

Works like a charm now ! Thanks fellas ;)
