just wondering if there are any other places around the country that wont be watching v8 supercars due to not having ch 7? in the south east of s.a. we dont have ch7 and cos of a deal the local tv mob did to get ten as a local chanel we dont get any ch7 programs. so now i gota spend $700 or so to put up a new tv aerial system and if the weather goes bad on the day i wont be watching anyway. so yeah, is there anyone else with this problem?

My house is in the bottom of a decline, and a lot of the reception is blocked out. The house has a roof antenna, but I can't use it, so the rabbit ears are all I have. I can get channel 10 fine, but 7 (even though I am only 5K away from the transmitter in Epping) is s**t.

Why don't you try getting a high gain UHF antenna (about $80) and pointing it towards Horsham or somewhere in VIC?

I live in North-West Sydney and have one pointed towards Wollongong so I can get the AFL footy earlier on a Friday night.

If you are going to try to get some long range reception it would also be a good idea to replace your cable with quad-shield RG6. I couldn't pick up squat with my old cable.

I just hope 7 doesn't bump footy games for the supercars. I guess 10 will show games that conflict. (yes, i'd rather watch footy than motor racing  )

Hey Millard, Toddy spent a bomb on a top notch antennae and digital set top boxes and s**t, then I helped him put it all together. You're invited over whenever it's on (just bring some supplies  )
