What's the deal with roof scoops?
Yes, I have been playing Need For Speed Underground 2. Every time I see a car on there with one I wonder...!?! What do they do? WHat's the point of them? Or are they just a ricers decoration? Or are there there as a form of airconditioning or to cover up a sunroof? I've never seen one in real life!

Watch some rally  In particulr, i think Subaru STi's were always pretty keen on the roof scoops.... used as air conditioning for the drivers.

Yeah subaru rally team use em, and as demonstrated last year 9o a few years ago) all it is is a hole in the roof and the scoop, as during a rally the scoop sucked in a bird and spat it out in the cabin. Quite funny footage.

I'd have thought a lot of dust and stuff would go in during a rally?

I guess thats why they put them on the roof, and not in the side windows. less dust up there.
