this has prolly been covered somewhere but i seem to have missed it. what is actually different on the aero kit. the only thing i can see that really stands out is the skirt behind the front wheel tapers into the guard instead of being squared off. maybe the front bar has a longer undertray or something but it looks almost the same to me, esp when looking at the djr cars on his site and comparing them to ambrose poster on my wall.

is there a site somewhere that details the exact differences. obviously different enough that ba's are no longer eligible while vz's are. i think most holden teams have the ve's ready anyway.

also regarding the new liveries, there are some nice lookn cars on the grid this year and unfortunately a lot of them are holdens. once again the jack daniels cars look awesome. grm's look good to. djr look good. one thing that doesn't quite sit with me with a lot of the ford teams is the way they have 2 different schemes on each car. fpr and sbr for example. as far as presentation goes you can't beat a whole team all painted up the same.

reading a mag yesterday and answered my own question. i suspected the reason the ba was not eligible was to do with the amount of downforce and that is the case. bf has shorter 'bottom lip' on front bar and sideskirts taper in to front wheel and rear wing has 3 degrees less angle. not much in it.

lowndes also reckons the ford teams will have an advantage in the early rounds as they are unchanged in chassis and its also very rare that a coplete new chassis (holden) will debut with no issues. i hope he's right.

Scuse my stupidity, but does the changes to the kit mean that they will be betteror worse off? Worse off because of less downforce means less grip around corners, or better because less downforce means less resistance on straights?

Better at tracks like hidden valley but slightly worse off at tracks like Winton.
