g'day guys,

My s pak's red striping on the rear bumper only has faded to pink..

i cant seem to pull it of without damaging the bumper.. whats the secret?

i've got some new red striping (only cost $5m from ford) they tell me that the striping in the bumpers can be removed but not in the doors. is this true?

so how is it done? brute force?

Judging by his user name I'd say he has an EB S pack......But then again he may also own another car that he wants to remove the red strips from

Yes that is true the stripping on the doors is moulded into the door moulding and cannont be removed. Only way to fix it is to replace the whole moulding with new ones. Unfortuanately they a probably getting very rare now.

However the bumber bars ones can be replaced, they are just glued in with doublesided tape IIRC. the ends are tucked into the bar.

ive noticed a trend,

if it doesnt come off, brute force is generally the answer :shock:

yep they just pull out,, you will need to pry at it somewheer to get it started, after that just yank it off.. maybe put a little eucalyptus oil on the end of it to try to lossen the glue??
