Sad situation but a sign of the times I'm affraid.

I would imagine these last Fairlanes will hold their resale value very well!

Grumbles

Don't know if they were "ugly" but the latest one certainly was way too much like a stretched falcon... not enough development money unfortunately, but thems the breaks

I liked the AU Fairlane. Could have bought my uncles Fairlane Ghia 4 years ago for $16,000 which was just on 4 years old as it was a company car, thats the same price he got for trade in. I was spewing he didnt tell me 3 months earlier when i bought my Fairmont. It is a sad day for Ford Australia but as said its a sign of the times but its not all bad as there will be more employment through the locally built focus and mondeo.

one of my uncles recently bought a bf fairlane. champagne in colour with dark grey around the lower part. first time i've actually bothered to look at one up close and it is a very nice piece of machinery. awesome car. would expect resale to be a little better than previous models although he still paid a lot less than new price for a 1 yr old car.
