Hi people.
I am now the proud owner of a BA XT Falcon.
(still got the EF for weekends)

One thing I have noticed, it the brake pedal squeeks when applying pressure to it....

Its been okay, up till thismorning (wet day) and it squeeked all the way to work..

Anyone know why?

Cheers,
Adz.....

Mine did the same until I carefully sprayed some WD40 on all the moving parts. Now it works like it should - no noise :D

take it back under warrenty

shouldn't put anything with oil just incase something is made out of nylon like abush or something. then the oil will eat it adn ford will say "bye bye"

If its a BA then it'd be under warranty. Pop into your dealer and get it fixed.

Cheers for the replies guys.

It has stopped making the noise now on its own.
Im thinking it was due to it being a damp morning??

But Ill get it back to Ford for its next service and see if they can do anything to stop is re-occuring.

Thanks,
Adam

Maybe it is because it is so f^*cking big.

They look stoopid!

I know that shouldn't matter to me...but I just can't get over how mcuh bigger they are than a normal brake pedal.

Maybe they sourced the unit from volvo!

None of the BA's I drive for work squeak.

One is a BA XT wagon and its fine except for the f**k hood release which has snapped off the bottom of the dash and keeps getting the cable caught around your feet. ~90k km's on the clock

Another is a BA XL ute (same s**t as the XT but a ute) and it doesnt squeak. ~33k km's on the clock and the diff bearings have just shat themselves. Apparently ford will replace the whole diff if it goes under 50,000km's from new. After that its a rebuild.

I'm due to get a brand new BA when I start my new job in about 2 weeks, i'll let you know if that squeaks.
