Have you changed the speed sender drive gear to suit or put in an interceptor/sensor corrector????

The auto works on vehicle speed, not engine RPM.

Yeah as raiki said, the trans relies on the speed sensor. ie it changes from 1st to 2nd at say 60kph, now with the 3.9's it is still waiting to get to 60kph to change but the revs are far greater. To get the trans working properly you need to change the speed sensor readings by using an adjustable electronic conversion box.

Ive got an XE 351 and I put 4.11's in there, it revs harder than ever but no issues really just that the speedo is out, but that can be fixed

Yeah its only a problem with the electronic controlled 4-speed autos.

Ok have built the kit, but have a few questions of any1 that has the kit in their car
1 How are the three links LK1 LK2 and LK3 configured?
2 Are the resistors for R1 or R2 required. If so which way?
3 Lastly where is the wire located from the auto box controller ie pin number that i need to splice into
I currently have a 3.45 Ratio and will be going to either 3.7 or 3.9 in the search for better 1/4 times, so the speeo will be reading to fast and need to be slowed down. This mod will definitely cure the auto causing over revving?

yeh its a good improvement to make revs out a hell of a lot quicker. as the computer has gotten used to it it has gotten quicker as welll. the only downfall is u can feel more of a need for a better cam and heads but apart from that is much quicker off the line and excess wheelspin off the line is the main problem, however ive fitted 245/40/17 tyres to the back and it gives it a fair bit more grip. it hasnt effected fuel economy either and i do a lot of freeway driving. its sits at about 2400-2500 rpm at 100km (117kmh on thje speedo wored out by those speed limit check things on the princess freeway.)
