Man, that is a beautiful car.

I agree with snaken, just to kind of, continue the theme.

Red and black are my faves :)

What happened with the EL? Did the people in the Territory vouch for you/understand?

Tom

The person in the Terry understood why I reversed so fast. Cops said that they probably wouldn't have been able to charge them with anything, or they were lazy bastards that didn't want paper work. I didn't really want to go to court either though. It's all worked out alright though. sad about the XR6, but I've now got a BA XR8.

Still wouldn't mind finding the Maori's house though!!

Im hoping to do a sound file soon. Probably later in the week if i get time. Im currently in the middle of painting a few things in the engine bay and if the weather would stay sunny for at least two days I should be set and have piccies up soon. Im also in the middle of playing with the '66 Falcon as well so, yeah. :D All fun and games.......And damn money!! :P

Hey guys, just got a few update photos of the build.

Where im up to with the engine cover:
Image

I got a centre console clock, which Im hoping to turn into a digital gauge with blue light.
Image
I also got some BF rear door inserts. Front handles will come soon.

I also have a pair of BF tail lights that should be on the car early next week, and the centre console is still in bits for painting black. If i had a shed it'd be finished by now, but i don't so have to wait for good weather and time during the day when i wanna paint. Hope to have the console finished next week, so may have more piccies up soon.

Hey guys, another little update on how the XR8 is coming along.
1st- As the front interior door hanles weren't carry over from BA to BF I had to get the whole handle and change them over. It was simply a job of pulling off the door trim and unmelting or taking the head off the melted bits of plastic that hold the handles on. Easy stuf for a good looking result.

Next up, i got a hold of some BF Tail lights (not big on the altezza style lights)
The chrome bottoms on the BF lights were a bit scratched so it was easy to just unscrew the chrome bits from the BA lights and change them over. Car looks a lot more updated in the rear now. Very pleased.

Im still wanting some decent weather as the engine cover is ready for it's last few coats, but not going to risk doing it in crap weather and screwing it up. The centre console painting isn't coming up to my expectations, but I still want it piano black. Painting just isn't coming up smooth enough and glossy enough. So I will probably get into contact with mad coatings in QLD to get them water printed as it's cleaner, exact look I want and more durable than painting. So it's all coming along. Talked to Blue Power Racing the other day bout getting work done (clutch, tune, CAI, full oil pump upgrade and timing chain gears) so got a little bit of saving up to do at the moment.

Cheers, Travis

If you read the thread properly you'll know that that's as far up as I can get it. To get it exact i need to start a bit of bending. Look at the real early photo's and you'll see how bad it was. At the moment it's as close to body as i can get it without it rubbing while at idle.

But thanks guys!

PS- may have to get around to doing the exhaust shortly if it bugs enough people!! hehehe!! :D
