Hey Ladies n Fellas

I was hoping to buy a Capri (1970 GT) but am not interested at all in the v6, I was hoping to get some info on how hard/easy a either 302W to put in, or should i go a later 5.0L out of an AU? What would the handling be like as ive never driven a Capri (except the new ones which are s**t house) and what do you guys rekon the price would be invloved im only really looking for a cruising machine, and considering the weight of the older capris maybe 250-300 horsies will do me and the b**ch well.....

Thanks Guys

Check my website for a very nice 5.0L Capri.
I can put you in touch with it's owner if you like.

Cheers,
Pete.

How much would it cost?...how long is a piece of string?
Scott used an ex-EB 5.0L in his which cost him $900.
Ford racing Cobra Kit(X3Z EEC,70mm Maf,24lb injectors) U.S. $500.
Ford racing street rod harness U.S. $325
EB 5.0L engine harness $140
EEC-Tuner $700
It has Edelbrock heads,F303 roller,Crane roller rockers,Cobra Intake,65mm t-body plus the cost of a full rebuild.
Custom Sump.
Custom serpentine drive.
Modified fuel tank for the EFI.
It has custom mounts that I believe came from Bob Pinell(specializes in Capri and Cortina V8 conversions).
Custom headers.$650
Custom 2 1/4" stainless dual exhaust $ 500
It has Falcon discs on modified struts with a Landrover master cylinder.$??
Z-type T5 trans $2700
Narrowed 9" LSD with 3.7 gears $2000?

Gives you a ball park price I suppose.

Pete.
