does anyone know if these 2 little water hoses need to be hooked up as they are rusted and just was thinking of piggy backing them they seem to be there to warm up the base of the throttle body but then i ask why?maybe its just for the cold climate in the usa? any help would be good as its pulled apart in my driveway now lol

Ive read that there are 2 main functions.... to cool the EGR as it is recirculating hot exhaust gasses (so theoretically the coolant is cooler than these gasses and therefore remove heat) and yeah, to stop the TB from freezing over on those cold winter mornings in detroit.

Ppl usually blank them out when disbaling the EGR.
