Over the weekend there was a small change with the car. Due to some damage on one of the brake rotors, I replaced them with dba slotted street series rotors. I have found them to be as good if not better then what I have and the fact they were alot cheaper then the drilled and slotted and have a longer machine life I think its one of the best things I have done.

While they were being fitted though, the rotors and the calipers were painted red as well as new pads all round and new front bearings. I still have all new ball joints and complete rear bearing kit to be fitted as well as a ratchet type camber kit and new superlow springs on order.

I will post pics asap

OK here are the pics of the brakes,

Lately there have many other things happening with the car. The sub box I had has been removed and replaced with one I built to suit the car and the sub and now has a total volume of 1.82 cubic feet and has allowed the sub to work as per its original intent.

Also another change was I have added pinstripes to the car. I have added one thin red stripe with a thicker white stripe below which I think has finally broken up all the darkness of the car with out being over the top.

Stripes:

I have also been attempting to redo the under bonnet paint scheme. The block remains silver, sump remains red and the manifolds, brackets and mounts are matt black. The el tappet cover is being replaced with an eb/ed one which is red with white stripes. The over flow bottle, belt cover, airbox, intake pipe work, brake booster and washer bottle are all being colour coded to the car but the intake pipe work is being changed to an ef setup and will have white highlight on the induction and air box. Once painted and Australian flag will be put on the flat part of the ef intake and a light coloured All Ford Club of QLD sticker on the air box and some details of the motor written on to the belt cover. I am hopping to have all this done and installed before a local car show on Sunday.

Today I scourced enough colour matched paint to do all the bits in the engine bay I want to do as well as a gasket kit for the tappet cover, ef pipe work and booster. Tomorrow I will finish preping all the pieces for paint and hopefully painting them and then friday will be a mad dash to install all the pieces and put the boot back together as I am not allowed to touch the car on saturday
