Yep, just chase up the manufacturer again tonight seeking a delivery date for the parts, ........... they will arrive one day, that about all I know.

There is currently a balancing issue with its impeller, during the mould stage they didn't allow enough metal in the impeller spine for balancing, so change the pattern some more and then go again

Hey,

Will there be a charger set up designed to bolt on an ED manifold (non broadband) the capa set up looks really neat (Charger outlet lines up with throttle body and hence there is no plumbing)?

thanks,
Tim

Timmy

I had a look at the kit you mentioned, I hadn't really considered that approach to the EA - ED series. Might have a look at it some time.

If you are happy to pay their price then I won't bother, if its considered too pricey I will have a look into it

Tim,

More so than anything... I've emailed them twice now and haven't received a reply... its more the lack of customer service that i'm disappointed with... But if you think you can do one cheaper... hell thats an added bonus... If you are designing something though... I'd just like to point out... i'm not trying to build a dragster... i just want a little better go than standard... hopefully to make my mates VX ute look a bit sadder... I'd be stoked with 150 rwkw...

Let me know what roughly you'd be able to design...

Looking at building a whole new engine too... something under compressed designed to safely handle a super charger... Do you have a specified comp ratio? standard oil pump and fuel reg and all that is ok too?

Thanks,
Tim

Timmy

What sorta time frame you lookin at?

U won't be wanting a dragster but we have yet to produce a kit that makes less than 180rwkw!

9:1 compression is nice, don't go lower. Most stock parts will be ok, the pump will be old so replace it, injectors need to be bigger but thats no challenge. Stock oil pump will be perfect.

Well...

wow... um at least 12 months... coz thats when the green p's end and i can legally have my dreams... that sounds nice...

Wanted to start building and just take it slow... make it a long lasting hobby... so no hurry...

What sort of time do you think you need? and what sort of money do you think ii'd be aiming around? Still the 5k mark?

Thanks,
Tim

sounds pretty good...

these manifolds just seem to look neat (as long as you don't want an inter cooler) as there is no plumbing and mounts up neat where the air box is usually goes...

hopefully you have success with ot as i can't wait to see what it looks like...

I will probably do up an EL... or maybe AU motor only cause they have smoother run gear... but as i can't run a broadband manifold (don't have vacuum hose to change over the manifold runners) i'll still run my old manifold...

if you want to easily reply to me i'll pm my email address to you

any help you need please email and i'll do my best to assist with your construction... photos or info...

Thanks again,
Tim

Maybe none of you know about the following but you will now!

Read on

This post is a follow up to the pulling tractor that has been sponsored with supercharger and bracket identical to what we sell customers with VN - VT 5.0 Commodores.

This weekend was the Australian Tractor Pulling Championships at Quambatook which is situated 300 km north west of Melbourne

They have various classes etc like any motorsport and the competition is extremely fierce with some of the most powerful engines you will come across any place ..... and more often than not 3 or more of these engines in one machine to amass a phenominal total HP output.

Anyhow it seems Saturday was the day for the "Aftershock" Pulling Team!

They took a 2nd place in the 950Kg class (if I understand the classes correctly) against the toughest tractors in Australia, we are talking 504 cubic inch alloy engines with MASSIVE 8/71 and 12/71 blowers, turbo V8s and just about anything else.

Anyway the 355 Holden V8 Red motor with 6psi boost (seems tame hey) which is pumping 610hp wiped out all of them except for 1 who beat Aftershock by a mere 4 meters. The competition is about pulling the weighted sled the furtherest. The driver is a mere 17 years old and this was his first season, all other drivers are 40+ and have many years experience.

The young lad is stoked, we are stoked and coming 2nd place in the nationals with the first centrifugally supercharged pulling tractor in Australia means we are on track to take the titles next year.

The plans are to start to wind the blower up some more and retune to suit, then we plan to take all comers

Till next Easter (titles) thats it for the Australian Tractor pulling season which runs for just 6 months of the year.

All from a Raptor V supercharger IDENTICAL to what is in the Ford 6/8 kits!

I would have added more photos but didn't have any files sizes small enough

Another option for those wanting to personalise their SC

In more colours than an IPOD NANO, we have at least some colour options.

Currently making a few Black, some Ford Dark Blue and some Red

This is optional at a cost, makes charger more difficult to manufacture as it really takes a lot of care to prevent scratching
