hi i have an EA2 fairmont ghia with the 3.9 muiliti injected auto i was thinking of dropping an 8 in it but am sure which would be most suiltable i was thinking about one out of an EL would i have much complications there? is there another 8 which would be more suiltable im after the power and grumble later on id put a blower on it also, thanx for any help

You'd have to get the EA engineered, sadly. Unless youve got a good reason for spending money and time on the EA, i'd sell it and grab an EB-AU, either stock V8, or do the conversion on it.

Is that because the EA's didn't come from the factory with a V8 standard/option?

If the car means that much to you, I can get a report done for you costing about $500-600.

Like the others said, you'd be better off getting an EB and save a hell of alot of work.
